Whenever I see a film based in New York, apart from the sightseing and the hectic streets, I admire the clothes that working girls are wearing. Of course, you might say that in films there is an expert stylist that dresses the actress. But I like to think that girls living in New York choose a fancy outfit everyday and cross Times Square. So, in this film, I absolutely loved Hillary Duff’s character’s wardrobe, because it was insanely feminine and my favorite color, red, was the basis of her style. Plus, I adored the gigantic pairs of earrings.
The film in a few words is about a young fashion reporter whose dream is to write an article for a big shot fashion magazine. Not something we haven’t seen before. Lane during her quest for the one and only man in New York, is given the chance to write an article for US Cosmopolitan (a mistake in script, since the magazine is not famous for its fashionable look in a woman’s life). For this article she has to find a job in a big advertising company and meanwhile fall in love. The story is not so interesting, so I will get straight to the looks.
I think this is my favorite! Here I love everything and most of all the red bodycon skirt and the earrings. Yes, yes, yes!
Cute, but not a big fan of the blouse.
Bandage dresses are very famous in Hollywood, most of all those of Herve Leger. They are supposed to look very sexy in all bodytypes and especially curvy ones. In this one I like the metallic color that makes it stand out.
Yet another feminine outfit! Can’t have enough of them!
A little black dress. I was wondering when we were going to see one.
And a few more casual looks. Ok, the last one is not a look, but the headband is some serious fashion statement.
